Background
Accurate and reliable data on paddock-based greenhouse gas emissions from WA grain production will allow a life-cycle assessment of greenhouse gas emissions from wheat to bread to identify emissions from pre-farm, on-farm and post-farm elements. This will enable better targetting of greenhouse gas mitigation practices and identify areas of nitrogen use inefficiency to increase grain production efficiency and profitability.
